If your child is going abroad to study in one of independent schools or colleges in Reading, we can offer your child pastoral care under our guardianship care programme. We are based in Reading and are convenient to Reading Schools. We can meet the school requirements to be there for your child in the place of a parent, in the case of an unexpected emergency and provide extra support for your child as well as organise their homestay provision for holiday periods.

British (UK) Education System

The British (UK) Education system is split into four sections:

1. Primary (school) : Key Stage 1: 5 to 7 years old & Key Stage 2: 7 to 11 years old

2. Secondary (school) Key Stage 3: 11 to 14 years old & Key Stage 4: 14 to 16 years old (GCSE)

3. Further education (college course A'Levels / work traineeships) Age 16 to 18

4. Higher education (university): Age 18 19 degree level

Options for International Students:

-Traditional pathways above (secondary school): from age 11+

-IGCSE: Intensive 1 year GCSE: age 15+ Intensive 1 year GCSE study for A'Level preparation.

-The International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma programme: 16+ can be taken in the student's home country in Spanish, English & French.

- International Foundation Programme: 16+ Access course for degree preparation at the student's chose University.
